Job Description

  • Develop and maintain mine plans for all quarries in various regions, as assigned
  • Create and update pit designs using internal standards
  • Submit and manage mine permit applications for the regions
  • Review and approve reclamation plans
  • Perform reconciliation to verify reserves and quarry progression
  • Develop efficiency improvement assessments for cost-savings or increased efficiencies
  • Manage blast optimization and fines reduction studies
  • Support quarry automation
  • Conduct reclamation surety evaluations and coordinate surety posting
  • Manage consultants for mine planning, reclamation and permitting
  • Provide estimates of reclamation costs for decommissioning and restoration
  • Maintain mine/reclamation plan and permit information in databases
  • Submit annual reserve volumes for each quarry
  • Provide technical training to quarry supervisors
  • Review safety, production and reclamation performance annually
  • Audit royalty calculations and payments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in mine planning
  • May be Required • Bilingual proficiency (English/French)
